Don Hanson (mastersmith) Liner locking folder


Mint condition folder from Mastersmith Don Hanson III. Sole authorship mosaic damascus blade, bolsters and backbar. 18k Solid gold thumb stud. Fossil walrus ivory handle scales. Titanium liners are anodized and filework. This knife has a color anodized titanium pocket clip which is rare for a small folder like this.

This is the large model. Tanto blade is 4 inches of Ats-34. Titanium handles are bead drilled to reduce weight. Pocket clip on reverse. All parts are bead blasted to reduce reflection. Mint condition. A few slightly darker areas in the bead blast finish from finger oil (normal for this kind of finish).

Mint condition. Made in 2008. Action is fast and smooth. Lock up is solid.

-6.5" Overall Length Open
-Blade is 3" and has a persian flair
-All damascus is Blued and made from 1084 and 15N20 in a tightly twisted W pattern
-High grade mother of pearl handle scales (VERY colorful pink and greens- I cannot get it to show up well in the photo)
-Thumbstud is Mild Steel with A RUBY set in 18K gold.
-Liners are fileworked and heat colored 15N20
-Backbar is polished 1084 with filework
